Preliminary results from the Statistical Institute of Belize’s most recent Labour Force Survey (LFS) indicate that the unemployment rate in April 2025 was 2.1 percent, down from 3.0 percent in April 2024. This was attributed to an increase of 13,697 in the employed population, coupled with a decrease of 1,182 in the number of unemployed persons.
